Birth Centenary of Dr. Y. Nayudamma

I too shall take forward the debate on whether science and tech should adapt to people or people should adapt to them. Since ancient civilizations like Mesopotamia, Greek and the  Indus Valley civilization, it has been the nature of man to be on a relentless quest for knowledge. The journey from being hunters and gatherers to "technological animals" has also thrown some serious issues regarding the value, purpose and relevance of the advancements.   The tannery industry possessed some drawbacks like the stench and difficult tasks and hence used to be looked down upon.  Dr. Y. Nayudamma identified them and devised scientific ways to remove the stench and enhance the skills of the workers.
